Project's timeline

Hey community,
My name is MURANGWA Pacifique, a tech enthusiast base in Rwanda! I was trying to join this insipiring hackathon and noticed that project that were made before it will be automatically disqualified. I have an ongoing project that I wanted to add but it's been around since February and I'm still working on it. Is it safe or it must have started after hackathon timeline. Please help me with this, thanks in advance!

    I will allow it as long as you make substantial progress’s during the hackathon.
